WINE

Montefalco Sagrantino Docg

Wine made from the Sagrantino grape, the native vine of the Montefalco region. The peculiar characteristics of this grape makes it a unique product. Wine of great structure, characterized from an obvious tannic fibre and with typical notes of blackberry and cherry. It is a wine that can be drunk soon after the time imposed by the wine law, but it can also be left to mature in the wine cellar for several years, thanks to its extraordinary ability to develop in the bottle.

Montefalco Sagrantino Passito Docg

The most traditional of Montefalco’s wine, produced from selected Sagrantino grapes left to wither on the vine for over three months. After this process, the wine yield very limited, approximately 25-30 litres every 100 kg of fresh grapes. After several rackings and aging for a year in oak barrels, the Sagrantino passito completes its refinement in bottles, where it remains at least six months before it can be drunk. It is a wine that ages very well and which improves its characteristics over time.
